In July and August 2009, UFCW Local 1473, the Hunger Task Force, the Milwaukee County Labor Council and Voces de la Frontera coordinated a food pantry to help workers and their families in the aftermath of the Patrick Cudahy fire. Thanks to all the above organizations and especially the Machinists, United Lodge 66, who offered us their Union Hall for the pantry, hundreds of families were offered assistance in their time of need.
